Sophie is a graduate student at Southern Methodist University working towards an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University. Sophie currently provides client support, is responsible for community outreach, and manages administrative tasks within the practice. As a counselor at the SMU Center for Family Counseling, Sophie specializes in working with teens and young adults. She takes a trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming approach while utilizing techniques from CBT and DBT. Sophie strives to provide a nonjudgemental safe space where clients can process and heal in a collaborative format.
