Sometimes it feels like the life you want to be living is just out of reach.
You want to wake up looking forward to the day instead of struggling to get out of bed each morning. Or you could be trying to spend time with friends and feeling like the racing thoughts are holding you back. Maybe everything’s been going well, but now as you enter a new chapter of your life, it feels like you don’t have a plan anymore. Or you might have some painful past experiences that it just feels like you can’t outrun.
I work with individuals 12 years or older who experience anxiety, depression, feelings of self-doubt, or trauma. Whatever your story is, many of us have a hard time accepting and loving all the parts of ourselves that make us who we are. My hope is that through our work together, we can get you there. You deserve to feel at peace, free of the endless cycles of overthinking, and confident in the things that make you, you. Beginning to make changes in the ways we’ve done things for so long can be hard, and you don’t have to navigate this alone.
Therapy can be a space for us to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing through a trauma-informed lens, and begin finding steadier ground.
You deserve a space where you can fully be yourself. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe, welcomed, and accepted. In our sessions, you won’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out. Many of the clients I work with have spent a long time feeling misunderstood, pressured to meet expectations, or disconnected from themselves. In our work together, we’ll begin to explore patterns that may no longer be serving you while building compassion and understanding along the way. I value honesty, curiosity, and authenticity in the therapy room, and I believe meaningful work happens when you can show up unapologetically as your complete self.
In therapy, we’ll work together to create a space that feels supportive for you to reach your goals. My work is grounded in helping my clients gain more understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also discovering practical skills they can use outside of sessions. I utilize approaches rooted in CBT and DBT to support coping with anxiety and depression. When working with trauma, we’ll also incorporate mindfulness and expressive arts techniques to support emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and deeper healing.
Showing up for sessions can feel hard sometimes, so it’s important to me that the therapy space feels welcoming of every part of you, not only the hard parts. I love learning more about your hobbies and interests and really getting to know what makes you who you are both inside and outside of therapy. My hope for every client I see is that we can work together to arrive at a place where the fog begins to lift, where your thoughts feel less consuming, your emotions feel more manageable, and your sense of self is a little clearer.
If you’re looking for a therapist who will walk alongside you as you work toward greater calm, confidence, and self-understanding, I would be honored to support you.
