Helping you step out of destructive patterns and into honest relationships and a life that feels like yours.

Maybe you’re here because your secret was discovered. A partner found the messages, the charges, the porn—and now you’re trying to explain something you don’t fully understand yourself. They said something like, “If this doesn’t stop, I’m leaving,” and for the first time, the stakes feel real and high.

Sometimes it isn’t one dramatic moment. Instead, you might be here because you’re having the same exhausting arguments on repeat. They’re almost scripted at this point: you shut down, they escalate, you promise to do better. A few weeks later, you’re right back in it. You tell yourself this is the last time and you really do mean it. And still, something pulls you back.

Or, you could be on the other side of this, loving someone who’s struggling with addiction and feeling stuck—knowing you can’t keep living like this, but unsure how to leave. It could even be questions about your identity, sexuality, or experiences with church and religion that are weighing you down, and you’re not sure how to wrestle with the shame you feel.

Whatever the details of your experience, it often feels the same on the inside. Intimacy is complicated. Hard conversations feel impossible. You tell yourself you have everything under control, but really, your emotions and impulses seem to be controlling you.

That’s usually when people call me.

I’ve been doing this work for over 20 years, and there’s very little I haven’t heard. I’m not easily shocked, and I’m not interested in shaming you. I am interested in understanding you.

Therapy with me starts with slowing things down and getting the full picture. What was it like growing up in your home? What roles did you play? How were conflict, emotions, sex, or vulnerability handled? I ask these questions because patterns don’t appear out of nowhere. As we connect the dots between the struggles you’re facing now and your past, those “ah-ha!” lightbulb moments start happening—and that’s where real change begins.

You can expect both honesty and compassion here. In sessions, you’ll feel seen, heard, and held accountable. I’ll validate what makes sense and challenge what doesn’t. I want to show you that it’s possible to have hard conversations without it turning into an argument or attack.

People often come in wanting something concrete: stop the addiction or behavior, repair the relationship, feel more stable. We will absolutely work toward those goals. But we’ll also work toward helping you live in a way that actually lines up with who you are—that’s the transformation I love being part of.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After more than two decades in practice, I am more sure than ever that this is my calling. I continue learning every year because helping people grow isn’t something I take lightly, and I pride myself on having an expansive toolbox that helps me customize the therapy experience to suit each individual I work with.
